These Nepalese pure herbal incense ropes are made up of herbs, i.e. found in the high Himalayas. Used in stupas, temples and halls for aromatic environments. Incense ropes are hand made in a process that involves bundling the ingredients in a special hand-prepared rice paper, then rolling and twisting it into a small braided rope-like shape. The rope should be burned on a marble or metal plate, or on an ash bed, a special incense burner. This type of rope incense can produce a substantial amount of smoke and can quickly dominate a small room, so use sparingly. Cedarwood, Spikenard and Sandalwood & Spice incense ropes are sold in packs of 6 bundles. One pack contains 50 incense ropes, each 11cm long. Burning time for one rope is approximately 15 minutes.
